Sell House Fast Without Getting Duped By Realtors

Selling a property without getting duped by real estate agents.

Selling a house yourself (without using a Realtor) can be simple, fast, and profitable even when the property prices are at an all time low. There are a few things that you need to consider when selling a home, and you don’t have to be a Realtor to do this.

Real estate agents typically have an advantage to selling properties because they have the ability to list a house in the MLS (multiple listing service), and they may have a list of buyers that they can send over to your house.

However, where the trouble comes in is if they do list your house, and do send over the buyers that they have, and it still doesn’t sell… this is where you get duped.

What may happen is, a Realtor could tell you that they can get a good price for your house if you list it with them, then once they have the listing they will slowly work on you to lower the price of the property until it sells. This is BAD!

First, this is bad because starting your house listed above what the market might be willing to pay, could price you out of the range that buyers are looking in and you won’t get anyone over to come and look.

Second, when you drop your price this gets recorded in the MLS and now potential buyers can see the amount you have decreased and the frequency of your price changes and come to a conclusion that you will accept a low offer.

Third, if this process takes several months, then your time on the market increases and this is another indication that you might be getting desperate and would consider a low offer.

And finally, if you do sell the house for far less than you were promised by the Realtor when they listed it… you still have to pay them their healthy 6% or more commission.

So, rather than get duped by a Realtor and potentially cause yourself some stress and loss of equity… why not take matters into your own hands and sell house fast yourself without using a Realtor at all?
