Blogging is a two-way street of communication. When we blog we are giving part of ourselves to others. We share our thoughts, insights, concerns, issues, feelings and stories with others.

For some, blogging means sharing ourselves with the hope of making the world a better place. For others, blogging means sharing their interests or attracting other like-minded folks. You share your insights and your readers respond.

For those who want their blogs to be a vital part of their business, be it the business of blogging or using the blogs for reputation building, advertising, and corporate good will, its the relationships the blog forms that can increase your profits.

Your blog is the virtual face of your business. In other words, instead of selling your stuff, you need to reach out and show people who you are. You need to give of ones self to begin the process of building trust and a blogging relationship.

Making contact and building mutually beneficial connections with other bloggers can be rather challenging. You need to be aware of the hard work it can take and the cruel environment you can sometimes be involved with.

You have to ask yourself if you have the time and energy to connect with other bloggers? Are you willing to be ignored, rejected and perhaps be used sometimes by them? Are you willing to be annoyed by bloggers that you dont want anything to do with?

People dont always show their true motives for building relationships with others. There are good and bad reasons for building relationships with other bloggers.

If it is to build a base of similar minded bloggers that you can bounce ideas off of and share your goals and interests with then your heart will find what you are searching for. People have a way of connecting with other bloggers in hunt for their goals.

Also, look in neighboring niches, look for points of synergy, work with bloggers on your level, prove yourself, be persistent yet dont be annoying, be generous, and dont expect too much because trusting relationships take time and proving.

Be sure to ask questions, break out of the virtual, you will find by making good blogging relationships they will also help you in making money on the Internet. Remember not to spread yourself too thin.

Its also a good idea to make invitations for networking and go beyond what is sometimes expected as a courtesy to further building good blogging relationships.
